TAKING IT TO THE BANK

More than 65 Joondalup Business Association members & guests gathered to celebrate the third anniversary of the opening of the Bank of Queensland Joondalup branch on Friday 29 January.

 

JBA President Russell Poliwka said this was the first of many networking functions to be held in 2010 and coincided perfectly with the birthday celebrations.

 

“Derek Joy has 37 years of banking experience and actually owns and runs the branch which is unique in normal banking circles,” Mr Poliwka said.

 

“It is great to see a JBA member so successful in such a competitive industry which is testimony to the confidence that business operators have in Joondalup,” he said.

 

While members enjoyed the hospitality of the bank branch they also had the opportunity to win door prizes including Hartley Estate and BOQ wine, Sugar & Spice cookies and lunch at Parliament House courtesy of Tony O’Gorman MLA.
