Nippon Connect Society

Nippon Connect Society (NCS) is a growing Australia–Japan community organisation based in Perth, Western Australia. Founded with the vision of bringing people together through culture, friendship and meaningful community connections, NCS creates opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to engage with Japan and strengthen Australia–Japan relations.

We organise Japanese cultural events, festivals, workshops, networking opportunities and community activities, connecting students, community members, businesses, universities, cultural organisations and government representatives. Our activities celebrate Japanese culture while encouraging cross-cultural understanding and long-term people-to-people connections.

NCS works collaboratively with universities, community organisations, local businesses and Australia–Japan stakeholders across Western Australia. Following the growth of our ECU student community, NCS is working toward expanding its community presence through both ECU and Joondalup-based activities.

Our focus areas include Australia–Japan relations, Japanese cultural exchange, community engagement, international friendship, youth engagement, cultural events and community partnerships in Perth and Western Australia.
